Origami Treat Ball Download the instructions

Indulge your cat with fun and flavour with this paper ball-it will be a tempting activity for the both of you! Simply follow the instructions below. You can also print out a PDF version of the instructions. Just be sure to supervise your cat until he or she is done with the toy!

You will need:
  • Letter size (8.5 x 11") paper cut into a 8.5" x 8.5" square
  • Scissors
  • Printer (optional)
  • A Temptations treat or two!

Making a perfect square
Fold one corner upwards, aligning the meeting edges. Cut off the top rectangle that pokes above the triangle. Open up the paper for your square.

    Step 1
    Fold the paper down in half to make a rectangle.

    Fold it in half again to make a square.
  • Origami
    Step 3
    Open the front half of the paper towards you, spread it open and fold the tips down to create a triangle. Flip over and repeat on the other side.

    Step 4
    Fold the outer corners up to meet at the top.

    Step 5
    Fold the outer corners in to meet at the centre.

    Step 6
    Fold the top points downwards.
  • Origami
    Step 7
    Tuck the points into the pockets you created in step 5.

    Step 8
    Flip over and repeat 4 through 7.

    Blow air into the hole at the bottom and expand it into a ball.

    Slip a few Temptations® treats into the hole, and let your cat have a go at it!
